Living in China can be tough especially if you don’t know the language. Overtime one does luckily pick up some basic phrases that makes getting by a little easier. In the following post I will share 17 useful Chinese words that I have learned thus far.
- nǐ hǎo (listen) : Hello
- wéi (listen) : Hello when answering the the phone.
- nǐ hǎo ma (listen): How are you?
- wǒ hěn hǎo , nǐ ne (listen): I am fine thank you, and you?
- Zǎoshànghǎo (listen): Good Moring.
- Wǔān (listen): Good Afternoon
- Wǎnshànghǎo (listen): Good Evening
- Wǎnān (listen): Good night
- Zàijiàn (listen): Goodbye
- xièxie(listen): Thank you
- mànmàn chī (listen):Bon appetit
- gān bēi (listen): Cheers
- wǒ tīngbùdǒng (listen): I don't understand
- duìbùqǐ (listen): Sorry
- Zhège duōshǎo qián?(listen): How much for this?
- cèsuǒ zài nǎli?(listen): Where is the toilet?
- búyào dǎrǎo wǒ:(listen): Leave me alone!
